Software-defined networks (SDNs) are the winds of change, so find the innovators building windmills because the walls will only tumble down.

The weather is starting to warm up here in California and spring has officially begun. What does that mean? Oh yes, the Open Networking Summit is right around the corner. The Open Networking Summit has established itself as the premier SDN conference globally. With over 1500 attendees expected this year, SDN is certainly proving to be a hot topic. This year’s summit will again be held in Santa Clara, CA, but this time at a larger venue, the Santa Clara Convention Center between April 15th and 17th.

Problems occur when more and more cars appear on the highway.

The bring-your-own-device (BYOD) movement has the potential to make traveling on your network hazardous—especially if you don't know who is using each device or their physical location, the functional capabilities and limitations of the device, or the time of day the individual is accessing the network.
