Already missing HP Discover in Vegas?

By: Francisco Fernandes, Solutions Architect, Hewlett Packard Company (Brazil)

HP Discover has come to an end. After 3 exciting days and a lot of attractions, Cloud and Mobility were in the spotlight with revolutionary products and new announcements (as well as great sessions) that helped clients and partners better understand the role Cloud and Mobility are playing in today´s world.

In her keynote session, Meg mentioned her top ten list for HP Discover 2013. The Transformation Experience Workshop (TEW) was in that list.  The TEW really grabbed the attention during HP Discover, with several sessions being held on different topics, including:

  • Converged Cloud
  • Converged Cloud Protection and
  • Enterprise Mobility.

These workshops are collaborative, slide free, interactive sessions that help your business align with IT, identify critical success factors, identify quick wins, leverage best practices and create a roadmaps with next steps.

In addition, a Mobile application was one of HP Discover´s most commented launch - HP Autonomy Augmented Reality (AR).  With a free application download, users were able to experience cutting-edge technology on Augmented Reality. If you didn't get a chance to experience at HP Discover, just go ahead and download the app. Click on  http://www.aurasma.com/#/whats-your-aura for more information.

HP COO Bill Veghte shared the HP approach to converged cloud in the New Style of IT. Cloud is key to accessing the right IT services from the right places, at the right time, at the right cost. This will enable your business to deliver desired outcomes: greater agility, faster innovation and better financial management.

Matt Leask and Jay Kreusch discussed how Mary Kay, Inc. in China has created an innovative mobile system to support more than 200,000 independent beauty consultants across many different devices. In the past, companies were struggling with having to develop mobile apps for many different platforms.  HP assisted Mary Kay, Inc. to solve that problem.

I am already missing HP Discover in Vegas. How about you? We will see each other later this year for another great HP Discover on December, at Barcelona. See you there!
