By:  Ipek  Ozsuer, EMEA Information Management and Analytics Leader, HP Enterprise Services

BigDataAward_Tool_3.jpgHP Enterprise Services has been recognized as a top service provider, achieving 3rd place in Computerwoche’s “Best of Big Data” competition. Computerwoche is one of the most notable IT publications in Germany and the Computerwoche Awards are very prestigious due to the visibility they generate in the market.

The “Best of Big Data” competition focuses on technology advancements in the critical areas of business intelligence and big data.

Thirteen finalists delivered 6-minute presentations designed to prove that their unique product or service is best in class based on the following criteria:

  • Innovation & Big Data Vision
  • Relevance for market – does it address different customer and market segments ?
  • Implementation and integration into existing architectures ?
  • Product status, Price,  and Performance

Computerwoche’s jury consisted of key IT opinion leaders in the German market. This panel of judges liked HP’s Big Data Discovery Experience (BDDE) because it allows customers to test drive and determine the value of their new business use cases and “big data” data sets prior to making large capital investments.  Our BDDE as-a-service offering includes advanced analytics models within  a predefined cloud-based big data analytics platform using Hadoop, HP Vertica and HP Autonomy technology, to analyze 100 % of the data – structured and unstructured.  Winning this award demonstrates the innovative solutions HP has developed to help customers exploit all sorts of data to better understand customers and grow their business.
