The Summer Games were fun! Now it’s time to stretch your mind at the Technology Symposium in London.

london olympics.jpgThe International SOA, Cloud + Service Technology Symposium is a yearly event that features renowned experts and authors from around the world. At the event, participants attend a series of keynotes, talks, demonstrations, and panels. They also have the opportunity to attend training and certification workshops – all with an emphasis on realizing modern service technologies and practices in the real world.

 

The 5th International SOA, Cloud + Service Technology Symposium will be held for the first time in London on September 24-25, 2012 at the Imperial College London.

 

The 2012 Symposium is based on an overarching theme "Modern Service Technologies and Practices." The event will focus on contemporary IT innovations and trends, as well as the emergence of proven and field-tested industry practices and patterns. Speaker sessions are organized into the following 13 conference tracks:

  • New SOA & Service-Orientation Practices & Models (Roger Stoffers - HP)
  • Emerging Service Technology Innovation
  • BPM, Service Modeling & Analysis Techniques

HP has two speakers at this event, Amin Naserpour from Australia and Roger Stoffers from the Netherlands.

Roger Stoffers

 

roger_stoffers.jpgRoger has 17 years of experience in information technology, the last 10 years as a SOA architect. Presently he is on long-term assignment at a customer site as a multi-domain solution architect and he is also responsible for creating/managing SOA reference architectures. Roger is also a blogger and wrote several articles for Service Technology Magazine. He has contributed several SOA patterns to the community and he just finished reviewing Thomas Erl’s book SOA with REST. He is also a strong supporter of the SOA Manifesto. Roger will also teach the pre-symposium workshop “Certified SOA Architect”.

Amin Naserpour

 

amin_naserpour.jpgAmin is co-presenting with Thomas Erl at the conference. He is also working with Thomas on writing the first Cloud Computing Design Patterns book. This new book focuses on patterns in the Cloud Technology space, comparable to the SOA Design Patterns book in the SOA space. Amin is working on an open vendor cloud life cycle architecture framework which he plans to contribute to the community. Amin might also teach the post-symposium workshop “Certified Cloud Architect”.
