Wow - today is just a huge day for HP Storage. This morning we announced a couple of new products - the HP StoreEasy NAS and the HP StoreVirtual Storage (formerly HP LeftHand). Maybe you've already seen the blog post by my colleague Kate Davis about HP StoreVirtual. Kate has done a couple blog posts about StoreVirtual recently and is becoming quite the blogger! You can find her on Twitter as @KateAtHP as well.
It’s not how much storage you have. It’s how much you can do with it.
The other big thing happening today, in just a few hours, is the webcast with David Scott, SVP & GM of HP Storage, and Chris Evans - storage/virtualization consultant and blogger. My friends at Watchitoo.com have been working their collective tails off to make this come together. Their main offices and servers are located in Manhattan and they have been without power for several days now because of the Hurricane Sandy.
But have no fear, Watchitoo is here!
The Watchitoo guys are really my heroes! They very quickly brought online servers on the west coast here in the U.S. and also in Europe. They're still without power in their Manhattan offices and I wish them and all those affected by Sandy a speedy recovery. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Here's a link to join us on the Watchitoo live webcast, today at 2 PM PDT, 5 PM EDT. We'll be talking about legacy storage and what modern data centers need.
New HP Storage ChalkTalk
Last thing I want to leave you with is I mentioned the new StoreEasy NAS we announced today. I have a new video format that I'm calling HP Storage ChalkTalk. My first one features the StoreEasy NAS. Check out my whiteboard drawing talents!
See you on the webcast!
Update: Here's a YouTube replay of the webcast:
