On Monday, I was at Dallas Cowboys Stadium, getting a tour and hearing from their staff how they are leveraging HP gear to run a number of the Jones' family businesses. Its hard not to gush about getting an inside view of this incredible stadium and the technology that powers it.
My post today will include a few things: video and pictures of the stadium, with some behind the scenes views and links to the attendees blog posts so far. So let's start with the fun stuff - the videos the pictures:
First up is entering the field - I had visions of the crowd going crazy as we entered the field, but there wasn't an audience!
EDITOR'S NOTE: All of the videos I had in the post had to be removed. We received the following notice: "... the NFL Internet guidelines for all member clubs (teams) do not permit teams to share their marks and logos with sponsors for use on external web sites. They claim that use of this nature can be seen by fans in other markets and viewed as advertising and promotion in another team’s territory.” I am sorry that these interesting videos had to be removed. I've added a few images to take their place
Here's a view from the Cowboys bench. It will be interesting to see which Super Bowl team will be here and I can say, "Hey, I was there!"
I've never been on a pro football field before though I have been on the field at Bronco Stadium's famous blue turf. The overhead screen is just awesome though I'm still partial to my Boise State team!
I was a Cowboys fan as a child and remember the old Cowboys Stadium having the Ring of Honor. This was very cool seeing the names of my childhood favorites, especially Roger Staubach!
This next one was just weird - inside the Cowboy Cheerleaders dressing room:
My application to join the cheerleaders was rejected!
The last video picture is a quick look at the Stadium's HP Data Center.
Finally, I said I'd point to a few of the blog posts from our attendees. Here they are:
I hope to edit some of the session video and share that over the coming weeks - a couple of the sessions were very interesting, so watch for those. Have a great weekend!
