I'm at VMworld and enjoying being with the great group of people that belong to the VMware community.  I've only been here for a couple of days and there's already been five or six community gathers I've attended - and the passion for what people do, sharing with each other and the fellowship we share is amazing.

So I want to get back to that today so my blog post will be a short one.  Leading up to VMworld, we did some announcements.  One of those was integration we'll have with HP 3PAR StoreServ and vCenter Operations or vCOPs which is call HP StoreFront Analytics Pack for vCOPs.  I have a blog post that included a ChalkTalk where I gave an overview of this.

Here's the demo I have showing the integration with vCOPs.

I recommend opening the demo directly on YouTube, change the setting to the HD version, and watch it full screen.

If you aren't entirely familiar with vCOPs, Kit Colbert from VMware has a demo video of vCOPs v 5.0 from about 18 months ago. I met Kit at Nth Symposium in 2012 - I don't know how much has changed with the latest v5.7 version but you'll get the an overall idea what vCOPs does.

I am interesting in the product. I tried to installed in my demo vcenter 5.1, Since vCOPs base on ODM 5.7 , but unfortunately we can not download ODM 5.7 , only ODM 5.8 can download from vmware website, and ODM only support vcenter 5.5. If possible attached ODM 5.7 within e-Software portal so that we can download it easily.

StoreFront Analytics is compatible with vCenter Operations Manager 5.7 or 5.8

Both of those versions will allow to run the HP StoreFront Analytics.

Do you need vCops enterprise license or will the 3par app also run on advanced licensing of vCops
