Things are winding down at VMware Partner Exchange (PEX) and I'm leaving Las Vegas in a few hours to head home. Vegas is going to be my second home through HP DISCOVER in June as I'll be back here three times. I just have a couple of random things to mention today.
I Messed Up - Big Time!
In the history of me writing on ATSB, I've never had to rewrite a blog post - until today. Yesterday I had a post about some of the announcements we made at our Global Partner Conference down the strip from VMware PEX. I guess maybe I should have popped over there because I had a number of things mixed up. I corrected those errors so if you read the post yesterday, you might want to check it out again. If you're a channel partner and didn't read it, you should check it out - lots of great news for our channel partners.
Being Social
One of the things I love about my job is being able to hang out with others in the Twitter communities that I'm a part of. VMware PEX allowed me to do that with a number of people. The tweetup we sponsored on Monday night as a lot of fun (even though I was limited in my ability to partake of the food and drinks because of diet I'm on) and I really enjoyed seeing some old friends, meeting some new ones, and hanging out with the community. If you aren't on Twitter already, I highly encourage you to get on Twitter. It's a great way to engage with companies (like HP, our partners and our competitors) and will give you a good excuse to come to future tweetups. (Note - the picture is of Scott Lowe from EMC, Christopher Well from NetApp, Eric Siebert from HP, and Jason Boche from Dell).
Being a vExpert
I've been privileged to be a vExpert over the last 10 months or so. VMware is making some enhancements to the vExpert program that I wanted to share. I was part of a private vExpert gathering last night and still am humbled that I was selected to be a part of this amazing group. I'll start pulling my application together and anxiously await whether I'll continue to be a part of this amazing group for 2012. I wanted to thank John Troyer and Alex Maier from VMware for all they do to make this one of the best communities out there.
Ok - it's almost time for me to be leaving Las Vegas - thanks for stopping by.
