Listen in as our customers share their secrets

Before the summer’s out, now’s a good time to revisit some incredibly insightful interviews that two of our storage customers took the time to participate in during HP Discover in Las Vegas.

The webcast venue?

We're in The Cube with interviewer Dave Vellante talking with Ryan Burgess, BlueShore Financial, and Emile Brideau, Medavie Blue Cross.

The topics?

Big data, cloud and mobile are certainly top of mind mega-trend topics. Both Ryan and Emile talk in depth about storage technologies in the areas of data protection, flash, virtualization and software-defined. Of course there’s room for debate, as both Ryan and Emile don’t always see eye-to-eye. Neither holds back when it comes to sharing views on:

  • HP 3PAR StoreServ, HP StoreOnce and other storage products
  • Flash: All-flash versus partial flash and flash versus mechanical parts
  • Backup and recovery: tape or not
  • Recommendations to peers and thoughts on industry trends
  • Wish list for HP

What are their final conclusions? You’ll have to watch to find out. (And listen closely as Ryan shares his story about attempted data sabotage by a wayward seagull.)

The videos are set up for easy viewing, with convenient “chapters” indexing that let’s you click and watch the topics that interest you most. (And there’s more to come. HPStorageGuy is planning a series of video interviews with our customers who are signing up to tell us more about how they are staying ahead with HP Storage.)
