More VMworld sessions

A couple of weeks ago, I had a blog post with the sessions I've signed up to attend at VMworld.  Since then, I've added a couple of more to my list.  These were sessions that got added to the VMworld catalog after I signed up for my original list.  Here are the new sessions I signed up for:

 

  • Monday 10:30AM - SPO3435: Free Storage! Build scale-out storage arrays from space trapped in any server - I personally know the two guys leading this session and I promise you this will be good. 
  • Tuesday 11AM - SPO3436: Bridging the cloud with layer 2 datacenter interconnect
  • Wednesday 9:30AM - SS1012: Best practices for hybrid cloud - build a cloud you're proud of, without making million dollar mistakes

Now, I've got to come clean here - I'll probably attend 50% of the sessions I sign up for.  I fill up my schedule with sessions prior to going to VMworld.  Once there, I spend a lot of time in the VMworld social media lounge - hanging out with people in the VMware community - and doing other things (like videos and podcasts) that keep me away from sessions.  So if you go to these sessions expecting me to be at all of them, you'll know why I'm not there!


So you don't have to look at my previous blog post, here are the sessions I registered for a couple of weeks ago:

 

Monday

  • 12:30 PM INF-STO1198 - vSphere Storage Features & Enhancements
  • 2:30 PM INF-VSP1504 Ask the Expert vBloggers
  • 3:30 PM EUC1758: How Consumerization and Mobility are Impacting File Sharing and Collaboration Strategies
  • 5:00 PM INF-STO2980: vSphere 5 Storage Best Practices  (Dang - I'm going to miss this one because there's a vExpert meeting at the same time!  It's repeated Thursday at 1:30 PM but I can't do that either.)

Tuesday

  • 12:30 PM INF-STO2143 Software-Defined Storage - VMware's Storage Vision & Strategy
  • 1:30 PM INF-VSP1392 Storage Partners Integration with VMware's Cloud Suite
  • 3:30 PM INF-STO2192 Tech Preview of a Software-defined Storage Technology

Wednesday

  • 11:30 AM INF-STO2223 Tech Preview: vSphere Integration with Existing Storage Infrastructure
  • 2:30 PM INF-STO2564 Supercharged SAN: Fine-tune Your VAAI Enabled vSphere SAN with This Collection of Configuration and Performance Best Practices
