We've obviously been busy at here in HP Storage.  Since November, we've announced:

  • HP StoreEasy NAS
  • HP StoreVirtual Storage (formerly HP LeftHand)
  • HP 3PAR StoreServ
  • HP StoreAll Storage
  • We also had some enhancements to HP StoreOnce Backup

Well, time to reveal another set of products with new naming.  Today we're announcing HP StoreEver Tape Storage.  I have a couple of videos that give a good overview.  First up is a video at did at HP Discover.  Our tape team didn't want to be left out of the fun at and so we actually had HP StoreEver in the booth at our customer event in Frankfurt.  Here's a short video I did with product manager Simon Watkins giving a short (about 2 minute) overview of LTO-6 and StoreEver.

Video number two is an HP Storage ChalkTalk.  I have fun making these - this one has a bit more detail about the StoreEver Tape family and how it fits into information protection and archiving.  Check out my latest HP Storage ChalkTalk:

I'll have more on our HP StoreEver in the coming days - in fact I'm working on another ChalkTalk that drills down a bit more into LTO-6 and I hope to have that for you later today.  For now, you can learn more at www.hp.com/go/StoreEver

And while I can't tell you there aren't any more new family names coming, I'll also have a ChalkTalk in the coming days giving a bit more detail about our naming convention.

Mark your calendar.pngFinally, if you saw my blog post about my HP TechCast coming up on February 7, we'll definitely talk about StoreEver, LTO-6, backup and archiving.  Hope you can join me, my co-host @Geekazine Jeffery Powers, and ESG Sr. Analyst Jason Buffington.  Click on the "Mark your calendar today" button to download a .ics calendar appointment for the HP TechCast.
