New podcast - HP TechCast from SNW
By Calvin Zito, @HPStorageGuy
The start of something new
I've been working with Jeffery Powers (@Geekazine on Twitter and his blog is www.geekazine.com) on a new podcast. The idea we had was to gather some industry bloggers and do a roundtable discussion - a sort of free-for-all. Some times we might talk about something that is HP focused, other times we'll talk about topics that are broader than HP.
If you're interested in joining a future podcast as a blogger guest, email geekazine@gmail.com or send a tweet to @geekazine or @HPStorageGuy. We're targeting a monthly podcast for now but who knows what we'll be doing in a year from now. If you have topics you'd like us to cover, you can send us those too.
On with the show
In episode 1, our guests were:
- Ray Lucchesi – Silverton Consulting
- Howard Marks – Deep storage test lab
- Rick Vanover – IT Pro Blogger at Rickatron
At SNW, we were planning on getting on Skype but a few tornadoes blew through Dallas and interrupted that plan. But the show must go - and so I'm happy to point you to our first HP TechCast. While Jeff wasn't able to actively participate, he'll co-host our future editions of HP TechCast.
We talked about what we saw at SNW, especially a lot of talk about the show itself, SSD, cloud, big data and a lot more topics of interest.
Here's where you can find Episode 1, on geekazine.com or you can download it (right click and save the file). Note that it's 34.3MB and about 37 minutes long.
