Next stop, HP Networking Tech Day
By Calvin Zito, aka @HPStorageGuy
I'll be in Roseville, CA next week attending our HP Networking Tech Day. I'm excited to be there and cover this on the storage blog - I'm not a networking expert so I expect to learn a lot from the day and a half event. Here's a brief look at the agenda:
Monday AM
- HP Networking and the Converged Infrastructure
- Networking trends
- Enterprise focus (A series, Virtual Connect, emerging standards)
Monday PM
- Midmarket focus (E and V-series, lab tour, competitive discussion)
Tuesday AM
- S-series overview
- Solutions (Unified Communications and Collaboration, Solutions Test Center tour)
Here's a look at the bloggers that are coming listed with their name, Twitter name, and blog URL (note that HP does pay for their travel, accommodations, and meals but does not require the bloggers to write anything):
- Alex Williams, @alexwilliams, http://www.readwriteweb.com/enterprise/
- Andy McCasky*, @axmc, http://sdrnews.com
- Greg Ferro, @Etherealmind, http://etherealmind.com/
- Jeremy Gaddis, @jlgaddis, http://evilrouters.net/
- John Obeto, @JohnObeto, http://absolutelywindows.com/
* I think Andy will have a live video stream from the event - once I have that URL, I'll add it to this article.
There are also several HP "Tweeps" that will be there besides me; here are their Twitter names if you want to follow them:
- @HP_Networking
- @GilletteAtHP
- @HPConverge
- @HPStorageGuy (and of course that's me!)
Finally, if you want to keep up with the event real-time, we'll be using the hashtag #HPNetworkDay on Twitter. Here's a link that will search Twitter for all the tweets using our hashtag.
