Speaking in Tech podcast from VMworld
By Calvin Zito, @HPStorageGuy
VMworld has been an amazing several days - for me, the show is about connecting with the amazing community who are active on blogs, Twitter, and online communities. I've made lots of friends in that community over the last three years and VMworld is the place where we connect.
But connecting has it's price - and that means its been late nights and constantly on the go meeting up with people and I decided this year that getting sleep was more important than trying to get a blog post up at 3 AM.
I have a few minutes now before I run off to the party hosted by VMware CTO Steve Herrod and wanted to point you to a podcast that Greg Knieriemen and Ed Saipetch did from our HP Customer Appreciation Party last night. I lined up all the guests and frankly, I think it was an incredible group:
- Brady Wilson, CTO of Opus Interactive
- Shahin Pirooz, the CTO of CenterBeam
- Bethany Mayer, senior VP and GM at HP Networking
- David Scott, senior VP at HP Storage
- Stephen Dewitt, VP of marketing at the Enterprise Group (Dave Donatelli's organization)
Here's a link to the podcast on the Register.
I'm leaving in the morning to head to East Lansing, MI where my Boise State Broncos will take on Michigan State to open the college football season. Chances are good I won't have time for another blog post but I have been getting some great content at VMworld and also have talked to a few people about podcasts will record in the next few weeks about things coming out of the event. I'm especially excited about a session I attended about software-defined storage and hope to have that in the near future, so stay tuned and GO Broncos!
