Well, shame on me for waiting until now but I want to alert you to a webcast tomorrow (January 29) at 1 PM ET.  I'm looking forward to this even though I had nothing to do with it.  Mark Peters is a Sr Analyst with ESG and my former boss (now my boss' boss) Craig Nunes are going to talk about the future of storage.  I've had the pleasure of spending some time with Mark and enjoyed a wonderful curry dinner in downtown London with him a couple of years ago that was the best Indian food I've ever had.

Here's a link to register for the webcast tomorrow.

HP TechCast.jpgNext week, I'll host another HP TechCast on February 7th at 1 PM ET with my co-host @Geekazine Jeffery Powers.  Our topic will be the changing nature of backup and archiving.  We'll have two guests:

  • Jason Buffington another ESG Sr. Analyst - and quite the co-incidence that I Jason Buffington-ESG.pngreached out to Jason and then learned about tomorrow's webcast.  I did a podcast with Jason at HP Discover in Las Vegas where we talked about backup and recovery.   He's definitely an expert on the subject having spent 22 years in the industry.
  •  Bob Conway is our nearline business product management lead and has a deep expertise in our nearline business.

For our webcast, I have a calendar item you Mark your calendar.pngcan download and a link to our partner Watchitoo.com where we'll host the live HP TechCast.  Be sure to join us!

I only could watch the first half and it was good.  Good news is there will be an on-demand replay and you haven't missed my live HP TechCast happening next week.  Thanks Parveen!
