VAAI on the P4000 whiteboard
By Calvin Zito, aka @HPStorageGuy
Last fall at VMworld we announced support for VAAI with our P4000 (formerly HP LeftHand). While the topic of VAAI isn't new, today I have a video whiteboard explaining how VAAI works with the P4000. Because the P4000 is a multi-node, scaleout architecture (as opposed to a traditional array with a pair of array controllers), it has some powerful advantages and you'll see that in the video. Check out the video:
On my next blog, I'll have a video demo of the VAAI integration on the P4000. You can learn more about the P4000 on it's product page and there's also a full featured software download of the P4000 Virtual SAN Appliance that you can try for FREE at www.hp.com/go/TryVSA!
