VMworld Barcelona starting

There's no point in me whining about not being able to go to VMworld Barcelona because my wife and daughter are on a fabulous European trip and someone needed to stay home with our son (ok - I guess I just slipped in some whining). 

 

If you're off to VMworld, I wanted to give you a few more tips.  As with VMworld in San Francisco, HP is a Global Diamond Sponsor and it should be pretty easy to find us there.  Here are a few places to find HP.

 

Sessions

  • SPO2564 - Supercharged SAN: Best Practices and Considerations for Your High-performance VMware SAN | Tuesday, 11:00.  This session is with Aboubacar Diare who works in HP Storage R&D and I can't recommend this session enough.  Aboubacar knows his stuff and you should make it a priority to get to this session.
  • SS1012 - Best Practices for Hybrid Cloud: Build a Cloud You’re Proud of Without Making Million Dollar Mistakes! | Tuesday 14:00.  We had a similar session in San Francisco that I wasn't able to attend but I know our CTO for Converged Infrastructure David Chalmers is a presenter - this should be really good!
  • SPO5724 - Reducing lifecycle costs  with HP CloudSystem optimized  for VMware | Wednesday 09:00.  I think I saw Brent Allen is presenting this session - Brent was on the HP TechCast we did from San Francisco - you can check that out.

Expo Area 

  • You can find HP in Booth number D202; demos will include VMware integration with HP 3PAR, Multi-site HA with HP StoreVirtual (formerly LeftHand VSA), HP ProLiant Gen8 for VMware, and lots more. 
  • The Tuesday night Welcome Reception is sponsored by HP - please remember me when you toast!
  • We have a theatre in our booth and there are some very practical sessions planned there.  They start on Tuesday at 11:30.  We'll have a couple of entertaining performers in the booth introducing each of the sessions.  I'll highlight a few of the theatre sessions next.
