Bloggers coming to HP Discover Barcelona

David coffee talk Barca.jpgIt's time for my bi-annual tradition of giving a shout-out to our independent bloggers that are coming to HP Discover. There are some returning bloggers and some new ones that I'm looking forward to getting to know a bit. And of course HP Discover starts on December 2 so watch their blogs for their perspective.

See the blog post for the complete list of bloggers and links to easily follow the conversation.

HP Discover wrap-up according to bloggers

With my romp through Europe, I'm a bit late giving my semi-annual blogger shout-out after Discover.  We bring these independent voices to HP Discover so that you can hear someone else's view of the event and our news.  This year, we had 24 independent bloggers who attended HP Discover. and between them they posted over 75 articles and 49 videos.  I haven't had time to read and watch all of them but I want to share with you some of the storage highlights from them.  So be prepared for a large collection of links!  For a few of these, I'll provide a bit of commentary so here we go:

Vote for the top VMware blogs

top-vblog-2014-2-crop-300x180.pngJust a short post today to make sure you're aware of the voting for the top VMware blogs happening over at vsphere-land.com.  That blog is a great resource for anyone (which is 80% of IT) using VMware.  It was started by my friend and now HP colleague Eric Siebert.  Eric spent over 20 years as an end user and had started vsphere-land a while ago.

Last year, ATSB was voted the number 26 blog - that put our blog into some great company.  The only thing I was kicking myself about was I forgot to vote and Eric told me I would have been number 25 if I had.  Oh well.  I did vote this year and would encourage you to vote for your favorite VMware blogs.  Obviously I don't talk about VMware on every blog but I hope that blogs I've done (like the recent blog that demos HP 3PAR StoreServ integration with vCenter Operations or vCOPS) is the kind of content that at put me on the map with other great VMware blogs.

Here's where you can vote and vote soon as Eric told me the voting will close soon!

HP 3PAR polymorphic simplicity made simple

HP 3PAR StoreServ Portfolio.pngI saw a really good blog post this morning from Philip Sellers, Exploring HP's Power of Common Architectures in Storage that is a really good and wante to share it.

Polymorphic Simplicity Made Simple

I want to cover a few highlights from Philip's blog.  He has attended HP Discover a couple of times and he leveraged what he's learned (and the fact that he's also now an HP 3PAR customer) to develop his understanding.  I sent him a tweet this morning after I read his blog telling him that he's done a great job explaining things.  Here's a bit of what his blog says - but there's a lot more so head over to Techazine.com and read the full post there.
