HP Simply StoreIT for small and midsize business

Back in May, we introduced HP Simply StoreIT.  Simply StoreIT is a small and mid-size business (SMB) program and I have several Simply StoreIT focused blog posts that you can check out.  It's a program for both our channel partners and customers.  For customers, it focuses on making storage simple through a collection of solutions that takes into account where you are and where your business is headed.

Today's blog has two ChalkTalks - one that has embedded links to all the Simply StoreIT solution ChalkTalks (and there are 5 of them plus an overview).  The other is for channel partners and it gives details on the program and how it can help you accelerate storage with SMB customers.

Storage news from HP Global Partner Conference

I'm not at our HP Global Partner Conference (GPC) that is just kicking off in Las Vegas but I'm plugged in to the news being announced there today.  We have a couple of things we're announcing at GPC and I'll give you an overview of the news in the post and go deeper over the next few blog posts.  I have 3 videos today:

First an overview with an HP Storage Countdown

Next, a ChalkTalk with the details on what's new with the HP StoreVirtual portfolio.

And finally, I have a ChalkTalk on the new HP StoreSystem Storage.

Check them out!

HP Global Partner Conference overview podcast

GPC image.pngNext week at The Venetian in Las Vegas, a very familiar venue, HP will hold our HP Global Partner Conference.  HP Storage will have a big presence at the event and to help partners who are attending, I have a short podcast with Jennifer Osuna from our Global Channel Marketing team in HP Storage.  Jen talks about the storage sessions, a dinner with David Scott and other storage executives and experts, and the Technology Showcase.

More great news for US channel partners: 100% channel initiative

During the recent HP Global Partner Conference, we made a few announcements about some channel initiatives.  I wrote a blog post titled "For partners only - news from HP Global Partner Conference" that talked about those initiatives.

Today as part of a partner 1-2 punch, we have more initiatives to talk about for our U.S. partners.  There is a press release giving a few more details but at a high level, we announced two things that U.S. channel partners should find very exciting:

    • The 100 Percent New Accounts Initiative drives incremental revenue and a new level of predictability for HP Storage partners by funneling all sales of HP Storage products to new U.S. accounts through channel partners.(1)
    • The 100 Percent LeftHand and StoreOnce Initiative accelerates growth for HP partners by funneling all high-profit HP LeftHand Storage and HP StoreOnce Backup orders generated by new storage accounts or repeat customers in the United States through an authorized HP Storage partner.(1)

You notice a couple of footnotes in those bullets - see the press release to get the details on what those are about.  Chris Mellor from the Register has posted a story about the program titled HP gives huge chunk of storage business to the channel. There was an article a bit earlier today that reminded me that this press release was going live today (sorry to my PR team - didn't have this top of mind) - that was from ChannelNomics and is titled HP Storage initiatives boost channel

Great news for our channel (and for those of you that aren't an HP Storage channel partner, looks like maybe you should be!).  I've already heard from an HP customer - he said "explains all the cold calls I've been getting".  LOL - sorry Paul!

For partners only - news from HP Global Partner Conference

Today I focus on some of the channel partner news that came from our HP Global Partner Conference in Las Vegas. There's also a video interview with Tom Joyce and Chris Riley that is worth watching. Here's a link to the video or watch it on the blog post.
