Today I hit a number of topics:
- HP and Wikibon webcast with Dave Vellante
- HP Tech Day recap on HP Converged Infrastructure blog
- HP StoreOnce B6200 videos and white papers
- Nekkid Tech Podcast with Marc Farley
- Save the date for HP Discover in Las Vegas
- VMware vSphere 5 video training
I grabbed some video of the new X5000 Network Storage System and talked to the HP product manager as well as the Microsoft Windows Storage Server product manager. This product is another great example of how Converged Infrastructure helps us to design and deliver better storage solutions. Check it out:
Today my blog kicks off a new montly podcast I'll do with Chris Riley, VP and GM of HP Storage Americas. In the July edition, we talk about Chris' impressions of HP Discover and what he heard from customers and partners. Here's a link where you can download the chat with Chris (right click the link and hit save) or an embedded podcast you can listen to. Click over to the blog post and you can either watch the video version of the conversation.
This article is a guest post by my colleague Lee Johns, Director of Converged Storage. He gives a bit more description of converged storage and talks about what he learned from Paul McCartney. I really enjoyed reading this post from Lee. (Calvin Zito, @HPStorageGuy)
Today's blog has a couple of videos that include Paul Maritz - CEO of VMware, Carl Eschenbach - Co-President of VMware, and David Scott - Senior VP and General Manager of HP Storage. The videos provide a lot of insight into virtualization, cloud computing, converged infrastructure, and HP's relationship with VMware.
At HP Discover, Tom Joyce (VP of Marketing, Operations, and Strategy in HP Storage) spoke with Dave Vellante and John Furrier in the Cube. Today I want to bring you that discussion. To see the video you have to click either the title of the blog or the "read more" link.
While at HP Discover last week, I made sitting down with Nina to do a video about Connect a high priority. In the video, here's what Nina and I discuss:
- What is Connect?
- What are the primary benefits for Connect end-users?
- What is the biggest issue Connect is dealing with for their membership?
Today on the blog I have two videos highlighting the newly announced HP VirtualSystem. This was launched at HP Discover last week. The second video is particularly interesting as I talked with Adam Provost, a solution architect who gives an overview and also compares the HP VirtualSystem to EMC/Cisco vBlock.
