What's new with iLO

AHS-4_Capture.pngLast week I had a blog post that included ProLiant Gen8 teardown videos.  About 5 minutes after filming those videos I recorded a podcast with Adrian Kasbergen to learn about what is new with iLO Management Engine. As a storage guy, I really appreciated the information as it helped me to better understand the innovations built into ProLiant Gen8 that help make deploying, managing, and supporting our servers even easier. 

 

Adrian walked me through four areas of where HP has brought some significant new features to iLO.  The areas we talked about are:

  1. Intelligent Provisioning
  2. Agentless management
  3. Active health system (shown in the screen shot)
  4. Remote support
