Paul McCartney, HP DISCOVER, and Converged Infrastructure
By Calvin Zito, @HPStorageGuy
Yesterday I was logged into on our HP Enterprise Business YouTube channel (I have access to it to post my vlogs) and saw a number of new videos that were being uploaded and still marked private. They were amazing but since they were marked private, I couldn't say anything about them. Today they are public videos so I happy to point you to this video talking about the newly announced Paul McCartney Digital Library on HP.
There's a press release that describes the relationship that HP has with Paul McCartney and his media company MPL Communications, Ltd. The solution is a private cloud that as the press release says, McCartney's collection currently includes more than 1 million items, including photographs; video footage from live concerts; rolls of film, videotapes and reels; music recordings; original works of art; as well as memorabilia. With HP, McCartney’s personal assets are now digitized.
There are many videos on our HP Enterprise Business YouTube channel but I wanted to share with you the one talking about our Converged Infrastructure efforts working with MPL. Here's the video:
There is an hp.com website with heaps of information on the relationship between HP and MPL. That URL is www.hp.com/go/mccartney. As a huge fan of Paul McCartney and his music, this is a very cool website! And of course, Paul will be performing a private concert at HP DISCOVER. Also, Lee Eastman, a senior executive at MPL, will join us in a keynote session to share more about this undertaking our companies embarked on to digitize the rich set of assets in the Paul McCartney library.
I can't wait!
