CIO = CBO + CDO + CTO
The above equation may seem a little cryptic, but as we move to converged cloud, the role of the CIO is changing dramatically. I argue that the role is splitting in three distinct responsibilities, the CBO, for chief brokering officer, the CDO for chief data officer, and the CTO for chief technology officer. I'd like to know what you think and how you see the role evolving.
Clouds Computing: IT Innovation or Business Transformation?
A lot of innovation has gone into cloud, but I believe there is more. Cloud is all about business transformation and it is becoming apparent in the discussions I have with clients lately. But what is this transformation all about and how will it affect you? Is this why HP came up with their Converged Cloud point of view? That is what I'm addressing in this blog entry.
