Announcing The Newest Extreme IT Not-for-Profit- InterConnection

Coffee Coaching is excited to announce that InterConnection has been selected as the recipient of the next Extreme IT Makeover from HP, Microsoft & Intel®. InterConnection works to make information and communication technology accessible to underserved communities around the world and they accomplish their mission thru recycling & refurbishing, which allows them to provide high quality, refurbished computers to nonprofit and non-governmental organizations.

They help organizations across the globe who are struggling to make a difference get the access to communication and resources that they need. InterConnection's Disaster Relief efforts have assisted in providing computers during the Earthquakes in Japan, Chile & Haiti in addition to the flooding in Pakistan.

InterConnection’s process of reusing the equipment when possible, and recycling what cannot be reused, also helps the environment by keeping the computer parts and equipment out of landfills.

Working to fulfill their mission means InterConnection’s IT infrastructure is often put on the back burner. Instead of focusing on their own IT needs, InterConnection uses out dated equipment and has a very fragmented infrastructure so they can provide the best of what is donated to the other non-profit organizations they serve.

Next month, the Extreme IT Makeover, a joint HP and Microsoft program, in association with Intel, will give InterConnection a brand new IT infrastructure, which will allow them to take the next step in their business evolution.

The Extreme IT Makeover program was created to help small, not-for-profit businesses advance their mission by improving their business technology. InterConnection will receive a brand new IT infrastructure, designed and installed by SWAT Systems, with hardware and software donated by HP, Microsoft, and Intel®. Part of this makeover will include Windows Server 2012 Standard run on a HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8 server using Xeon Intel based processors, HP notebooks, and desktops powered by Intel vPro technology, and many other great IT improvements.
