How to use a serial port or terminal server infrastructure with iLO on HP ProLiant Servers

Have you ever been requested by a customer to use a serial port with iLO4 on HP ProLiant Servers?

 

Altough iLO supports secure network protocols like SSH and HTTPS, sometimes we might face these requests.

 

Andy Brown, an iLO firmware architect is explaining us today on this iLO University Series Chapter how to procceed on how to integrate iLO4 capabilities into Serial Port infrastructures.

 

Andy will go all the way from cable connections and the terminal program needed, to the configurations needed:

 

 

 

 

iLO is also capable of integrating into a serial management infrastructure, providing a broad set of capabilities in that enviroment.
