The Passing of a Friend - Farewell Eriq Neale

It is with great sorrow that we acknowledge the passing of Eriq Neale, a long time Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) and an author of several well respected books on the Small Business Server.  Eriq was one of the first supporters of the HP MicroServer and was one of our experts as he created this Coffee Coaching video when it first launched.

“The SBS community has lost one of its best; Eriq Neale was a longtime well respected colleague and a driving force behind the enablement of many small businesses and not for profits.  He always had a smile and was ready to help out his peers.  Eriq was one of the first MicroServer fans and constantly looked for creative ways to make IT simple and affordable.  He will be greatly missed.” Greg Starks, HP WW SMB Business Development Manager.

“Eriq lived his life to the fullest and he had a lot of friends. We learned a lot from Eriq and as an MVP he was always an amazing person to engage with regarding Small Business Server. The entire community is taking a moment of silence right now.” Kevin Beares, Microsoft Senior Community Lead - Server and Cloud Division

Here are just a few of the other tributes to Eriq Neale from his SBS Community colleagues; needless to say he will be sorely missed.
