Just the other day we started looking at what is new in Microsoft 2012 R2. This new wave of products includes Windows Server 2012 R2, System Center 2012 R2, SQL Server 2014, Visual Studio 2013,  and several new Windows Azure services. Although we covered many of the different innovations from enabling open source software to making device users productive and protecting corporate information, there are a few more Microsoft 2012 R2 innovations we did not cover. The new stuff in 2012 R2 (Part 1)

You have probably heard Microsoft’s exciting announcements about its next wave of products (including Windows Server 2012 R2, System Center 2012 R2, SQL Server 2014, Visual Studio 2013, Windows Intune, and several new Windows Azure services). For this wave of products, Microsoft modified their internal processes some and built for the cloud first. This cloud first design principle means that Microsoft designed each new feature for the scale, security, and simplicity of a high-scale cloud service.


Today we will take a closer look at a few of the innovations Microsoft provides with 2012 R2.
