HP Microsoft building blocks for SMB server based networks

Do you currently have customers using a peer-to-peer network—a setup where a group of computers are connected together so that users can share resources and information? While this setup can be great, there are a few disadvantages. First, it can be difficult for users to track where their information is located, and it is possible for multiple versions of the same file to exist on different computers in the workgroup. In addition, backing up is much more difficult (often resulting in users not backing up at all).

Instead of relying on a peer-to-peer network, we suggest moving your customers to a Server Based Network. In a Server Based Network, the server is the central location where users share and access networked resources. This dedicated computer—the server—controls the level of access that users have to the shared resources and their shared data is in one location, making it easy to backup critical business information.
