CI-small.jpgAs more organizations evaluate hybrid infrastructure models, I thought I’d take a moment to highlight a customer on the other end of the model ... and how HP Converged Infrastructure cloud-based solutions and technologies played a big role in their success.

Eshgro, a Netherlands based service provider, offers its clients with an online workspace accessible from any browser or device for anytime, anywhere access to their applications, files, desktops, and telephony. Eshgro provides an array of line-of-business applications (such as ERP), office productivity, and financial packages – specializing in serving customers with unique requirements for their business applications; unique governance, risk and compliance requirements; or, need specialized service-level agreements.

Eshgro - small.jpgIn this customer showcase, Eshgro was looking to expand their solutions while also driving down customer IT costs. After evaluating solutions from different vendors, they chose HP convergence technologies due to their reliability, resiliency, and ability to deliver infrastructure-as-a-service.

“We estimate that using the HP Enterprise Cloud will

save us at least 20 to 30% compared to buying and

          implementing the infrastructure ourselves.”

“With the HP Enterprise Cloud, we can set up a new

Eshgro client with virtual servers and storage within

hours. In the prior environment, we would need

a lead time of three or four weeks.”

                                                                                                           — Anton Loeffen, CEO, Eshgro

Among the many benefits:

  • Hundred-fold faster time to value for Eshgro and its new clients
  • Up to 50% savings for clients over five years vs. operating their own IT infrastructures
  • Eight-fold revenue growth generated
  • Up to 30% TCO savings as a service provider using HP Enterprise Cloud vs. on-premise IT
  • Up to 75% reduction in cabling for server interconnects
  • 50% increase in customers with only a 12% increase in power needs

The core HP Converged Infrastructure technologies for Eshgro’s HP Enterprise Cloud offering included HP ProLiant BL460c Server Blades, HP Virtual Connect Flex-10 10Gb Ethernet Modules, HP Storage EVA systems, HP 3PAR storage systems, HP Networking switches, and HP Insight Control.

This is a great example of how HP technologies designed for convergence deliver the speed, agility, and ability for clients to devote more internal resources to innovation in order to better compete in a world where more and more business customers expect services faster. In this case, more IT speed enabled Eshgro to accelerate innovation so they can offer its clients even more services to drive new revenue streams. More revenue makes for a happy CEO.

I invite you to read the full Eshgro case study or you can read about the many other Converged Infrastructure customers and how they are benefiting.

Thanks for your time,

Russ
