3 tips for achieving the most flexibility in a Converged Infrastructure
As an avid basketball fan with the NBA playoff games starting soon, I’m sizing up the teams trying to determine which teams are playing the best and will actually make a run at the championship? Analysts usually compare NBA teams on experience in the finals by evaluating whether they possess leadership on the floor and if whether that leadership is properly positioned with the right depth (such as a strong starting 5 and a deep bench). These points are important to many team sports, but also key to a hot topic in the industry--- Converging IT to break down silos and create more innovation for the business.
When you look at how convergence is delivered in the market consider the following:
1) Start with a strong foundation with the right pieces. Servers, storage, networking and software should truly fit together seamlessly and be backed by in-depth support services. HP Converged Infrastructure took modular and seamless to heart when developing the technologies and solutions to break down silos and free up resources for innovation. HP Converged Infrastructure uses a common modular architecture resulting in a simpler, more automated, and integrated infrastructure that truly accelerates the business. HP Converged Infrastructure solutions offer the most flexibility to adapt IT to handle the megatrends in virtualization and cloud. Other solutions in the market loosely integrate systems and solutions. This results in continued silos, wasted resources, and puts you at a competitive disadvantage.
2) Experience matters. HP leveraged experience across our portfolio and with customers to drive innovations into HP Converged Infrastructure solutions. Whether you are looking for recipes to guide you on how to configure and deploy quickly solution stacks or desire a ready-to-go system bundle, HP has the tools to help you get started. HP Cloud Maps, reference architectures, Virtual Systems and HP Cloud System take the complexity and confusion out of the equation.
3) Leadership delivers results. Sounds simple. Leaders lead. HP has a rich history of leading the industry in servers, storage, networking to name a few. Since introducing HP Converged Infrastructure in 2010, HP continues to deliver innovations to the market. Just this week HP announced HP Converged Cloud the industry's first hybrid delivery approach and portfolio based on a common architecture spanning traditional IT, private, managed, and public clouds.
Just as NBA champions need a strong foundation of stars and bench players that really work together, leadership on and off the court, and experience that will deliver superior results in critical moments like championship games -- HP Converged Infrastructure leads the pack and can accelerate your business and differentiate you in the market.
