HP introduces workload-optimized integrated systems to help you simplify IT, accelerate innovation

If you’ve been trying to shift your IT resources away from maintaining legacy systems to understanding how new applications can create profitable business opportunities, then your day has come. Today, on the eve of HP Discover 2013 Barcelona, HP is announcing the HP ConvergedSystem portfolio – a new product line engineered from the ground up based on modern assets and common architectures for the new style of IT.  These completely integrated, workload-optimized systems for virtualization, hosted desktops and big data are easy to buy, manage and support. They include:

HP ConvergedSystem 300 and 700 for Virtualization provide the fastest path to virtualization with easy to implement integrated systems delivering double the performance at 25% less cost than alternative solutions. The modular systems scale computing resources easily to meet business demands and provide an on-ramp to the cloud.

HP ConvergedSystem 100 for Hosted Desktops delivers a full-powered PC experience for knowledge workers, including business graphics and multimedia. Powered by HP Moonshot, the system delivers 6 times faster graphics performance than traditional virtual desktop infrastructure.

HP ConvergedSystem 300 for Vertica  helps organizations quickly turn big data into business insights with a holistic system optimized for the HP Vertica Analytics Platform. Designed to augment existing enterprise data warehouses, the system lets them quickly and easily analyze structured and unstructured data from a single system up to 1000 times faster than legacy products.

These new systems join HP AppSystem for SAP Hana and HP CloudSystem. HP AppSystem for SAP HANA performs 1500x faster than traditional databases to provide real-time insights for business. HP CloudSystem was just named the market leader by Forrester in private cloud solutions (see Forrester Wave™ Private Cloud Solutions, Q4 2013) and has over a 1,000 deployments.

Unlike other ‘out-of-the-box’ systems, HP has reinvented every component and designed all layers of Server, Storage and Networking for convergence in these new HP ConvergedSystem products.  For over 5 years, we’ve been making all the right moves, investing in modern networking, storage architectures and servers. We’ve gained experience with integrated systems, with HP CloudSystem, AppSystem and VirtualSystem. And, we recently introduced HP OneView, the next generation Converged Management. So you can trust these workload-optimized systems to meet your application needs.

But we are going further. You can go from order to operations in as few as 20 days. How? We’ve employed end-to-end design starting with the customer and our partners. Each system is factory tested and integrated. We’ve simplified product representation and leveraged the experience we’ve gained in shipping a server every 12 seconds.  Simple ordering, simple deployment and simple payment plans too. You can choose from a scheduled plan with a fixed monthly price, or a scalable plan to meet your expansion requirements as they occur with HP Flexible Capacity Services.

So, with the new HP ConvergedSystem products, we are able to deliver not only great systems but a breakthrough total systems experience as well. Let us know what you think!
