Converged Infrastructure

In the end IT convergence is really only all about one thing: CUSTOMER VALUE

Over the past few months, I have hopefully conveyed some deeper insight and understanding on infrastructure

convergence. I started at the 60,000 foot view with things like getting prepared for the new style of IT convergence ...

the fundamental data center flaw ... and what it takes to  drive broad data center simplicity. Then I moved down to
the 30,000 fool level view that included the importance of
converged technologies ... and the necessity of
converged management and converged expertise. And finally – at the 10,000 foot level view – I shared how
          the
HP Converged Infrastructure approach can align 100s, even 1000s of apps to the business.

I really hope this information has helped you make sound, safe, risk-minimized, and well-informed convergence decisions. But when it comes right down to it, it’s really all about one thing: THE VALUE.

Thus, before I go to the street level view of HP Converged Infrastructure solutions, I want to inject some examples of how real HP customers are benefitting from convergence. And, do so by reinforcing the fact that the “one-size-fits-all” approach does not exist (unlike the marketing hype other vendors are eagerly selling). HP Converged Infrastructure allows you to simplify and align your applications to the business at your own pace by making the most efficient use of IT, facility, and staff resources.

To illustrate this point, I’ve included several HP customer examples highlighting how they have quickly gained convergence value through turnkey Converged Systems or through smaller technology building block projects all based on decisions that are driven from an App-Centric position.
