Services to make the Microsoft Private Cloud a reality faster at MMS 2013

By Don Randall – WW Marketing – HP Technology Services

The “Private Cloud”, especially the Microsoft Private Cloud, is getting a lot of attention, probably because most of our enterprise customers are well on their way to a virtualized infrastructure with even production workloads running in a virtualized environment.   And virtualization is seen as a stepping stone to the private cloud.  So enterprises are ready.

We are finding that the next steps are proving more complex, though.  Where should you start?   What strategy is right? What workloads should be moved into a private cloud, with orchestration, a service catalog, and user portal?   And how does it really work?   This prompted us to set up our Center of Excellence within HP, so that we could accelerate the knowledge, the best practice sharing, and the customer engagements to make the Microsoft Private Cloud a reality faster and with less risk, for our customers.
