Converged Infrastructure
Drive the New Style of IT with HP Converged Infrastructure. Old networking, storage, servers and security silos come together into a simply-managed, business-oriented datacenter.

What a 70-year-old telephone pole and a Converged infrastructure solution should NOT have in common

By Guest Converged Infrastructure expert Gary Stevens, Technical Marketing, HP Converged Systems

Understanding the customer support you're going to receive from a vendor before you buy is critical. HP's Gary Stevens reminds us of that when he tells a story about trying to resolve a problem that occurred involving more than one owner of the broken equipment. Read on...

Do you look for a trusted relationship with your IT vendor or does a handshake and a prayer work?

IBM and Lenovo have been in somewhat of a lopsided relationship for decades.  In 2004, IBM had the opportunity to off-load its PC division to Lenovo.  Fast forward ten years, and IBM is for lack of a better phrase “back at it again.” This time in an effort to improve their balance sheet they are transitioning its x86 business to Lenovo.

HP Converged Infrastructure expert Doug Janes resumes his SAP HANA 101 blog series with an explanation of the HP ConvergedSystem portfolio and which systems are used for SAP HANA and why. Read on...

Do you finalize your IT plans based on promises—or on reality? Can Lenovo deliver?

I’ve often believed the most effective managers are ones with the ability to separate truth from fiction—and are able to act accordingly. Being able to divine the truth becomes especially critical when you’re dealing with the care and feeding of a critical (and expense) corporate asset—the datacenter. Am I making the right selection? Are the solutions a seamless fit? Will the vendor resources be available when I need them?

Business as usual may no longer be a reality. Can Lenovo keep pace with IBM’s product support?

Do you as a business customer really want to place your server investment into the hands of a company that (for lack of a more delicate phrase), “doesn’t exactly have a superior track record of customer service?”
