On June 2nd, VMware announced an initiative with HP focused on helping SAP customers move to virtualized environments based on HP Converged Infrastructure – link to PR here. The solutions and service offerings in this initiative are designed to address important phases a customer must take to move from physical SAP environments to virtual infrastructure and eventually to cloud computing. Phases include: modernizing and virtualizing, creating an SAP private cloud, and enabling an SAP hybrid cloud.
