Interbrand, a leading global brand consultancy, debuted a listing of the 50 Best Global Green Brands, and HP is excited to have ranked the highest among electronics companies. HP placed fifth overall after Toyota, 3M, Siemens and Johnson & Johnson. Businesses were ranked based on consumer perceptions of environmentally sustainable activities in the ten largest global markets and actual environment performance secured through publically available information and data.
HP was chosen by Interbrand for our initiatives including the Unlocking Your Energy events, our commitment to designing data centers around local energy with the Wynard data center and the HP Eco-POD centers. Additional initiatives that were referenced include the EcoSolutions store and our ongoing commitment to removing toxins from our products.
“Sustainability is at the core of HP’s business strategy,” said Engelina Jaspers, HP’s vice president of environmental sustainability. “We are honored to be recognized by Interbrand for our environmental programs and initiatives, and will continue to deliver innovative solutions that improve our customers’ efficiency and footprint.
