Innovation at HP: Creating New Ways to Compute

In the human brain, synapses enable memory function and cognition. But what if a computer chip could behave like the synapses in our brain? It would mean that a chip could learn — and anticipate actions based on user performance. 
At HP Labs, Tan Ha and his team of engineers are exploring this next frontier of context-aware computing by developing the practical applications that groundbreaking speed, density and efficiency in storage (not to mention longer-term memory) could enable.
