Cloud and Windows Azure at HP Discover 2012 – Get in on the fun (early)

It’s always fun to write about something that shows a vision and then progress forward. But it’s especially fun when that ‘something’ is cloud related AND it can help clients confidently and rapidly adopt cloud-based applications that are so needed as businesses change and grow. Earlier HP and Microsoft announced working together to deliver Windows Azure built on HP Converged Infrastructure. Much has happened since then and this vision is now comprised of 3 major elements:Fun in the clouds.jpg

  • HP ES Cloud Applications Services for Windows Azure – provides applications development and applications migration services to Windows Azure.  These services were announced on November 30, 2011.
  • HP ES Data Center Services for Windows Azure – will provide a fully managed virtual private cloud infrastructure on which the Windows Azure Platform and services will be made available to HP clients.
  • Converged Infrastructure for Windows Azure – will provide a Windows Azure “appliance” for implementation into HP client’s data center or a third party data center.

At Discover 2012 next week, you can find out much more about these efforts and how they can benefit you by attending session BB 2903, “Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS): What are your options?”, which I wrote about earlier or by coming to talk to us at Demo Station 908 – HP Enterprise Cloud Services.  If you’re interested in the future of the HP-hosted Windows Azure beta program, make sure to stop by or talk with your HP representative.

We’ll be looking for you in Vegas!
