The Future Inside the Innovation Room

Innovation is more than just a bright idea. It’s an applied idea. It fuels growth in size and revenue. At HP, we understand that innovation is a customized experience, process and transformation for clients.

This brings us to Plano, Texas, and HP’s customer demonstration center: The Experience . Throughout The Experience  visitors gain a feel for how HP Enterprise Services is positioned to help navigate the unknown, including a showcase of work with other clients.

 

The new Innovation Room, is an interactive area that uses a custom-developed, 3D application to project original content onto two, eight-foot-tall plates of glass, featuring custom soundtracks, a synchronized light show, and two HP z820 workstations. The Innovation Room is designed to be an interactive experience of the future.Innovation Room.jpg The room was developed based on input from industry Chief Technologists, HP Enterprise Services Fellows, portfolio experts, and futurists. Experience Ambassadors (the HP Enterprise Services employees who guide clients through The Experience) select from 30 different innovation vignettes to describe near-term HP innovations that will launch in the next 18 months.

 

These vignettes are focused on:

  • Specific industries
  • Strategic HP Enterprise Services offerings
  • Megatrends (such as efficiency, engagement, security, and more)

This one-of-a-kind experience has not only lead visitors and clients to new frontiers … it has lead to attention from media, garnering awards for content, display and design.

  • Apex Award – Silver Award: Recognition of the execution of an exceptional digital signage or interactive technology installation (2014 Digital Signage Expo)
  • Content Award – Bronze: Awarded for Creative Strategy for the HP Enterprise Services-Innovation Story (2014 Digital Signage Expo)
  • Best Content, Interactive: Awarded for Pictures together with Persuasive Pixel, for the HP Innovation Room  (DIGI Awards 2014 Digital Signage Magazine)
