Prepare for the Age of the Customer

124579-Consumer__Spri_selected-pages.pngYour customers, both businesses and consumers, want things faster, better, cheaper, and with a higher degree of service. If you can’t give it to them, someone else can. Fortunately, technology makes it easier for you to know what they want and deliver it. More customer engagement across business activities ultimately results in a better customer experience. This is the age of the customer.

CIOs and the New Style of IT

World-in-a-mobile-642x301.jpgTwo articles on the role of the CIO in the New Style of IT caught our eye last month. In one report, Business Value Exchange community manager Helen Beckett sums up a poll taken at the CIO Summit held in conjunction with HP Discover 2013 in Barcelona. The summary of the findings holds that business relevance is causing a shift from traditional Systems of Record to more dynamic Systems of Engagement.

For good measure, Helen also captured the responses of the same poll questions from HP CEO Meg Whitman. In this post, we summarize both articles, and direct you to the Business Value Exchange.
