Setting a World Record with the New Style of IT: Cape to Cape

FS3A1044 smaller.jpgOne heroic driver, his formidable race crew, and their high performance car are joining forces with HP’s expertise to attempt a new world record. Renowned adventurer Rainer Zietlow and his Challenge4 team will attempt to cover the 19,000 kilometres from Nordkapp, Norway to Cape Agulhas, South Africa in nine days.

 

But they won’t be alone. This is no ordinary challenge, and thanks to HP’s innovative technology, no ordinary car. In fact, the whole project supports the tenets of the New Style of IT, combining the best of mobility, cloud, security and big data into a multi-platform app that will give a near real-time ‘LiveView’ of the race.
