ePrintMobile_BannerImag#3CC.jpg I’ve just received the preliminary research findings from Government Technology on a survey they just completed on enterprise mobility. I’ll report more on that when the findings are published but for now I can say that the results are consistent with other research I’ve seen that show mobile devices are increasingly becoming a significant workforce productivity tool. Some interesting data points from the survey --- only 16% of respondents didn’t use or see mobile devices as a productivity tool for how they work. What the survey also found was that despite the large percentage of employees using mobile devices at work, the IT strategies for supporting the mobile workforce were lagging behind the times and often didn’t address security, or secure mobile printing solutions. Only 18% of respondents reported having a mobile printing strategy, despite its importance to the productivity of the workforce.
