The Communication Service Provider (CSP) industry segment has been in the spotlight this week at the HP Discover Conference in Frankfurt and in a series of our corporate announcements. Yesterday, we announced the new HP Telco Big Data and Analytics services, which support CSPs’ ability to transform the data collected from a variety of sources into actionable intelligence. Today, we announced the HP Cloud Solutions for CSPs, which help CSPs harness the cloud to implement new revenue opportunities, accelerate delivery of new services to their business customers and achieve higher retention rates among subscribers.
To better understand what CSPs are facing at the macro level, how their challenges will evolve over time, and what HP is doing to help them meet those challenges, we interviewed Jeff Edlund, HP CTO, Communications & Media Solutions. This is the first of a two-part series. We will conclude the interview tomorrow.
