NMCI – the largest, most secure intranet in the world
Over a decade ago, there were thousands of disparate IT networks across the Navy and Marine Corps. As a result, purchasing, connectivity and security were huge challenges. But in the year 2000, the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) came to be. HP, along with the Navy and Marine Corps, built NMCI into the largest, most secure intranet in the world—a massive transformation effort.
