Driver Versions in HP supplied VMware ESX/ESXi images

 The HP custom images are available at software depot.

For ESXi 5.0 There is a 5.0 image and a 5.0 U1 image. They are both available via the link below:

Dan Bowers wrote an article a couple of weeks ago on where to get the HP supplied VMware ESX/ESXi install images . Some questions came up about what are the version numbers of the drivers included in these images.  One of my teammates did the research, and came up with this.

Can HP please tell us when BladeSystem DDC/SmartLink support will be baked into HP 4.1 ESXi CDs? Right now the currently shipping driver does NOT support DDC/SmartLink, unlike the previous version of the driver that one could download for 4.0.

Can you please explain the driver situation with Flex-10 NICs and the support of SmartLink/DDC with 4.1? It seems the drivers HP and VMware include in 4.1 do NOT support this feature. That is a huge problem.

@Tom I've been told by HP the SmartLink issue is fixed with the latest Broadcom drivers. When will the HP image include these drivers?

I just downloaded the lastest ESXi 4.1 image and tried using it on a C7000 with HP BL460C G7 blades.  I thought all was ok but when I try to clone something now or even to a migrate from local Datastore to local datastore we get the following in /var/log/messages...Any ideas?

I did download and checked with the HP Smart DVD Firmware update and it shows that the blade has all the current firmware versions...

Just querying when the table might be updated for the latets HP image for vSphere 4.1 update 1, with the drivers it includes from HP?

Is the table ever going to be added to the HP/VMware page as well. I have this bookmarked, but if you were looking for the table in anger it can be difficult.

Can you confirm that an HP vSphere ESXi 4.1 image will be shipped that DOES NOT include ESXi 4.1 update 1, but does include all the updates HP drivers please.

Looking at the update table above it seems to suggest a non ESXi 4.1 update 1 image will be made available, however when I check the download site at https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=HPVM06 it seems only the ESXi 4.1 update 1 image has been released for February.
