Get it while it’s HOT! HP OneView 1.10 PowerShell Library is now available!

HP OneView provides you with a dynamic approach to converged infrastructure management, inspired by the way you expect to work, with a single integrated view of your IT infrastructure. While HP OneView provides an easy and intuitive web user interface, not all administrators like to manage their infrastructure with a GUI. To address this need, the PowerShell Library provides a pure Windows PowerShell interface to the HP OneView REST APIs. This PowerShell project was developed for those that want to automate tasks within HP OneView or use PowerShell as a CLI for HP OneView operations. It provides customers with a way to customize datacenter operations using PowerShell scripts that can then be re-used or extended for other tasks by all datacenter team members.

Getting started

In order to begin, please start with the Online Documentation. This library provides HP OneView management capabilities for Windows PowerShell. The library can be used as either a CLI or using the core cmdlets to call from wrapper scripts. This PowerShell module provides access into the HP OneView REST API with CMDLETs that can be used like a CLI, or scripting interface to automate certain functions. To begin, make sure you have the latest version. Once installed, this package allows you to launch the HP OneView CLI shortcut from your Start Menu. Or you can choose to import the module dynamically in your PowerShell runtime by simply calling import-module hponeview.110

There are 5 primary CMDLETs to interact with the HP OneView appliance:

Thanks to the HP OneView team for this tremendous effort and we hope that it is of great value to you managing your data center infrastructure. Go here to get the latest PowerShell library for HP OneView
