HP 6125XLG Ethernet Blade Switch brings a new level of performance to the HPN 6125 family

The  HP 6125XLG Ethernet Blade switch is the next generation blade switching technology for data center environments that delivers a feature-rich, high-performance, and low-latency 10/40GbE switch. It is ideal for meeting the Ethernet needs for blade customers requiring 10/40GbE connectivity to top-of-rack or aggregation switches for their data center environment. In addition it is ideally suited for customers requiring converged infrastructure or customers looking to deploy an end-to-end HP solution.

HP 6125XLG Blade Switch

The HP 6125XLG is the first HP Ethernet blade switch that supports 10/40GbE uplinks with advanced Layer 2/3 features. In addition it supports the following features: IMC, IRF, FCoE, and VEPA.

HP provides an end-to-end solution consisting of server, storage, networking, and management simplicity using a single pane of glass that the competition can’t compete against.

This blade switch provides businesses with great competitive differentiators:

  •         A converged fabric solution that simplifies management and helps reduce Capex and Opex for data center environments
  •         Integrates with the HPN Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF) that improves the performance and resiliency of the network while simplifying network deployment and management. With HP's Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF) multiple switches can be virtualized and managed as a single entity with HP's Intelligent Management Center (IMC).
  •         High-performance 10/40GbE switch for applications requiring 40GbE connectivity to aggregation/core switch for higher Virtual Machine complexity, Cloud deployments, and mid-range High Performance Computing (HPC) workloads
  •         Has layer2/layer3 switch features with support for the latest IPv6 Internet protocols

The HP 6125XLG is the industry's first blade with VEPA (Virtual Ethernet Port Aggregation) support, enabling customers to unify the management of their physical and virtual networks. A VEPA device in effect takes all the traffic generated from virtual machines on a server and moves it out to the external network switch. The external network switch in turn provides connectivity between the virtual machines on the same physical server as well as to the rest of the infrastructure. Combine these features with Virtual Application Network (VAN) and your data center provides the benefits of versatility of a true Virtualized Network.

In summary

The HP 6125XLG provides a great alternative to competing products and provides leading technology by supporting advanced protocols such as IPv6, FCoE, and VEPA. HP 6125XLG is protected by HP Services 3-Years Next Business Day 9x5 Hardware Support
