HP announces added next generation of X86 computing platforms for critical business transactions.


Announcing the availability of the HP ProLiant DL560 Gen8 and BL660c Gen8 which have been enhanced with support for the latest Intel® Xeon® E5-4600 v2 series processors. The HP ProLiant DL560 Gen8 and BL660c Gen8 are versatile rack and blade optimized servers that offer best-in-class performance and density for demanding application environments and data intensive workloads. HP has the full breadth of scale-up x86 capabilities and expertise to deliver the right performance, efficiency, and reliability for your large-scale data-intensive workloads. Now delivering higher levels of performance and scalability that extend the capabilities of these platforms.


  • Increase performance by up 40%1 in the same dense form factor with the new Intel Xeon E5-4600 v2 series processors for the most demanding workloads
  • 50% increase in the number of processor cores2 supported in these servers to support greater virtualization scale
  • Support for 1866 MHz standard voltage DIMMs to maximize application performance and 1600 MHz low voltage DIMMs to help maximize power and cooling efficiency
