HP Virtual Connect, the industry’s leading interconnect solution for virtualized, cloud-ready environments, celebrates exceeding 5 million ports shipped, and announces general availability of Virtual Connect Firmware v3.30 with new innovations to further simplify customers’ transition to Cloud computing.

Since its introduction, HP Virtual Connect, the world’s first wire-once technology has revolutionized the way virtualized servers are connected to networks.  HP appreciates the tremendous customer enthusiasm for Virtual Connect, as we pass the important milestone of 5 million ports shipped.  The rapid adoption of HP Virtual Connect shows how customers are embracing the exceptional value enabled by HP Virtual Connect -- offering the greatest capability and flexibility plus seamless integration into existing infrastructure.

As customers’ needs change with transition to Cloud Computing, HP Virtual Connect continues to innovate more customer value into our product.  Today, we’re announcing the release of Virtual Connect Firmware v3.30, delivering improved management and core networking capabilities that simplifies, integrates and provides a unique foundation for automating server and network connectivity.

HP is extending that technology in two ways:

  • Adding more networking flexibility and scalability,
  • And simplifying deployment and operations management visibility and transparency for the networking, storage and datacenter teams – and enhancing security.

Along with the recent release of Virtual Connect Support Utility (VCSU) 1.6.0, we have listened to our customers asking for enhanced firmware update capabilities and improved management and core networking capabilities from Virtual Connect. This combination will go a long way to address those inputs from our customers and we will continue to listen and improve as we move forward towards the next 5 million ports. Virtual Connect will continue to bring customers true innovation at the server edge. Look for more blogs on the enhancements we have made in Virtual Connect v3.30.

See for yourself what Virtual Connect v3.30 is all about.

Unfortunately the page you've linked to is full of marketing fluff. Would you happen to have a link to a page that actually lists what's new in Virtual Connect v3.30?

Thank you!
