Here are some of the most recently customer successes and their stories:

In the Financial Services industry, North Shore Credit Union has implemented an HP Converged Infrastructure, including HP BladeSystem with HP ProLiant BL680c server blades, HP ProLiant DL380 Gen8 servers, HP EVA8100 storage, HP Virtual Connect and other HP networking infrastructure.  They say they have seen “a huge positive impact on the business” from this infrastructure.

In the business of background screening, OPENOnline, providing extensive background checks that include criminal reports, employment verification, education verification, credit reports, driving records, and drug screenings.  They have reduced costs by 30 percent and improved product release cycles with HP BladeSystem and HP Virtual Connect.

In the Entertainment and Hospitality industry, Cedar Fair Entertainment Company provides faster, more efficient ticketing and payment services for guests.  They can now provide 40 percent faster, more efficient electronic transactions for guests which resulted in increased revenue opportunities.

A-Dec has been a pioneering manufacturer and innovator in the global dental equipment business—leading the market for customer-centric dental solutions.  Awards and industry recognition have followed, with accolades from the American Dental Association, the American Dental Trade Alliance, and the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals.  A senior technologist at A-Dec said, “Server virtualization is such an obvious win, but now we’ve taken the next step and started to virtualize the network inside the blade enclosure itself with HP Virtual Connect—it’s a whole new level of agility and flexibility that we didn’t fully appreciate until we started to deploy it.”

Last, but not least, in Telecommunications, Sierra Wireless consolidates and standardizes data centers using HP BladeSystem, HP Virtual Connect, and VMware to help ease administration and reduce costs.  Sierra Wireless decided to use HP Virtual Connect Flex-10 10GbE modules at its locations with IP connectivity and HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric 10GbE/24-port modules at its few locations with Fibre Channel connectivity.  The ability to pre-assign connection profiles for their servers has reduced operational time requirements.

This is just a fraction of the industries and customers who have benefited from Virtual Connect.   Maybe we’ll be able to showcase your implementation of Virtual Connect.  If you’d like to be a featured Virtual Connect customer, send us an email at virtualconnect@hp.com.

So when can we expect a full native PowerShell interface to Virtual Connect and the OAs, like competing blade platforms have? And I don't mean a PowerShell hack to issue remote ssh/script commands.
